I’m a proud lifetime Queen City resident. I’ve seen a lot of changes to this city in my time. Mostly, I’ve been busy with life, going to school, getting my career going, starting a family etc. I’m not always happy with what I see but I’m connected to this place.
I’m not a political person but lately i’ve felt like I need to have voice about what’s been taking place in my city. Apart from running for office (which i’ll never do) this seemed like a good way to weigh in and share my opinions – I have no agenda other than to share my views – and maybe get some discussion going. You may not always agree with what I say, but hey that’s freedom of speech right? Allowing others to freely express what they feel, and I guess agreeing to disagree.
I’ve chosen not to say who I am for several reasons: I may share or discuss something here which could impact friends and family I have working for City Hall, PMUA and the schools. I also want my opinions to be viewed objectively and not be slanted because you know who I am – and most important, I don’t want to make my few friends upset about something I write and stop speaking to me
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for stopping by. I hope that as I share my news, opinions and thoughts, we can still have some fun.
Lastly – I’m not a great writer, just a concerned resident with an opinion and a computer. So there may be typos, grammatically incorrect sentences and general human errors. I ask that you overlook them and focus on the overall message.

I really like your comments, & feel that Plainfield should have a Town Community Meeting to hear & see the comments of those concerned about building Community in Plainfield. Non of Us have all the answers, but not “connecting in honest Conversation”, is part of the Problem; so unfortunate that you feel the need to be anonymous, since I really think you have something to say. I have been here for 50 years & served in Public Service for over 35 years. Unfortunately, if you don’t own your own words & point of View, which is intelligent, & so valued, others with selfish, agendas, will use your words for their own personal purposes. I respect your choices, BUT Be careful. I would love to connect with you, & see if we could work for the common good of this Community, even if we don’t agree on everything.

Hi Ms. Taylor – I know who you are and I remember when your husband was the Mayor although I didn’t really pay attention to politics back then. I appreciate you taking the time to drop a word of encouragement to me. The folks I talk to have a lot of respect for Mayor Taylor and said he did a lot of good. I also know you served on the council and you’re a fair lady, always looking to do what’s best for Plainfield. Yeah, i’d like to own my words as you say – but i’ve been around long enough to know that some people can’t take criticism and I’m not trying to have anyone hurt because i decided to start a blog
Maybe one day we’ll be able to have an open chat but for now I gotta do what my instincts tell me to do.
